Severe
Winter Weather
Forecast
Warnings

Monday January 3 2022

At 5 AM, the snow has begun and all seems to be on schedule. If anything, perhaps a little ahead of pace with snow already sticking on the ground with temps still above freezing. That will change.

This is a quick look around the region. I will have a full morning forecast issued around 7 AM.

Winter Storm Warning Expanded

Baltimore City and up I-95 to Bel Air and Elkton in Cecil County now included.

Surface Conditions

Reminder that you can see update regional maps on the Home Page

I will have frequent updates on the Live News Page.

Doppler Radar

The north edge of the snow appears to be through Frederick and Westminster. Steady snow falling and starting to stick east and south of that line.

This will expand a little more north for a few hours, then hold steady.

Southern MD starting as rain was expected, will change to snow during the day.
