September 8 Clouds Try To Break And Hurricane Earl Cat 2 Warning Bermuda
September 8, 2022
Thursday Morning Update
There are a lot of circulations off the East Coast. The weaker storm off the east coast still has influence on our region with lingering clouds. They will try to break up, but some sprinkles or showers are possible.
Farther to the Southeast there is Hurricane Earl. It is now a Category 2 storm with sustained winds at 105 mph. It is forecast to become a major hurricane later today, passing just east of Bermuda. A warning is in place for the island. More on that below.
Wind Analysis
I want to focus on the winds since they are still a factor with our weather from that coastal system. Also, watching Hurricane Earl looks pretty cool!
I have included an interactive weather widget to track Earl below.
Morning Surface Weather
A few storms over the Atlantic, but the trend is shifting East. While we have lingering clouds, the weak system AND Hurricane Earl will stay to the east. The clearing in the Mid West will spread our way for Friday and Saturday.
Wind Forecast 8 AM to 8 PM
This circulation is drifting away. Our winds will not be strong, but still from the Northeast. The flow will continue to chop waves away at the beaches.
Cloud Forecast 8 AM to 8 PM
The atmosphere will be torn between trying to get dry air in place, but still unstable enough to regenerate clouds during the day.
The result will be Partly Sunny with a mix of breaks for some, and spotty drizzle or showers for others.

Afternoon Temperatures
A little warmer today.
