August 29 Morning Fog And Another Hot Day Then Storms Tomorrow
August 29 2022
Monday Morning Update
We have another morning with a muggy feel as many schools in central Maryland begin today. There are areas of patchy fog signaling the higher humidity. The rest of today will turn sunny and hot!
Reminder that NASA will be launching their largest rocket ever. The window today is 8:33 AM to 10:30 AM. The Artemis 1 mission is a test to eventually send humans to the moon. More info below.
Storms will be the main story tomorrow as a cold front will arrive, which will be followed by relief for the rest of the week.
Dense Fog Advisory
The Maryland Eastern Shore counties are in the thick of this, and will get the fog to lift shortly.
There are other areas of fog that have not reached the low visibility criteria, but it is worth mentioning for your commute.
Morning Surface Weather
There is not much of a trigger for any storms today, other than just more humidity with the increasing easterly wind.
Morning Temperatures
It is a muggy start… and there are areas of fog outside of the warming region.

*Disclaimer due to frequent questions:
I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here you may have missed it:
I have dyslexia, and found out at my second year at Cornell. It didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree, and being first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region.
I do miss mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse.
All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.
There is no editor that can check my work when I need it and have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline.
I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me…
It’s part of my charm.
