February 27 Mild Today Colder Tomorrow March In Like A Lamb And Still Some Snow?
Sunday February 27
Morning Report
We get the squeeze play today with one weather system to our south providing snow in Virginia and rain to the Carolinas. To our north an arctic front will drop out of Canada bringing snow squalls to New York.
In between we get a sunny and mild afternoon.
Tomorrow will be colder, then March comes in like a lamb mid week.
As luck would have it, models now showing a streak of snow on yet another Friday in The Mid Atlantic.
Headlines:
- This Afternoon: Sunny and Mild
- Monday: Windy and Colder
- Tuesday- Thursday: March in like a lamb and warmer.
- Friday: Snow/Mix? Both the GFS and Euro show it.

This is a new development in the latest model run, so we will track to see if it’s legit or a blip.
I do not foresee a major travel issue, just a reminder that winter may try to hang on in some capacity for a few more weeks.

*Disclaimer due to frequent questions:
I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here you may have missed it:
I have dyslexia, and found out at my second year at Cornell. I didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree, and being first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region.
I do miss my mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse.
All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.
There is no editor that can check my work when I need it and have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline.
I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me…
It’s part of my charm.
