Wednesday Morning Update 

Today may be our last very warm day of the year… At least it will be closing out the summer season.  Tomorrow a cold front will arrive on time with the start of Fall. The autumnal equinox is at 9:03 PM, and by Friday it will definitely feel like it.

The cold front will come with some showers as soon as sunrise, then a nice start to the weekend, but another push of colder air will come with more showers and cooler air next week.

Rain Forecast 6 AM to 8 PM

The showers may arrive with sunrise, then shift south during the day. It will not be a washout, but some strong storms may develop across Southern Maryland/Delmarva in the afternoon. 

Temperature Forecast: 6 AM Thursday to 6 AM Friday

Strong winds will surge in the cool down, bottoming out Friday morning.

A Strong Cold Front will arrive between Wednesday evening and Thursday. It will bring us:

• A chance for showers 
• Much cooler air into the weekend
• Push Hurricane Fiona off the coast

Fiona has reached a powerful Category 4 intensity and may pass just west of Bermuda by Friday… but miss the US coast. 

Strong swells generated by the storm will bring Rip Currents and erosion to our local beaches.
