The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the world. That means more than 150 rivers feed into this body of water that also experiences a tidal fluctuation from the Atlantic Ocean.
The brackish or partially salt water mixes all the way up the Bay Bridge by Annapolis and Kent Island.
