Salinity Forecast Guidance
This near surface water salinity animation was created from the latest CBOFS forecast guidance in the Chesapeake Bay. The forecast is for the next 48 hours of surface water salinity as simulated by CBOFS when it is forced by forecast products from the National Weather Service's North American Model (NAM) and Extra Tropical Storm Surge (ETSS), and the Global operational Real-Time Ocean Forecast System (RTOFS).
