The leaf color is developing rapidly in our region. Near peak color in spots have been seen across northern Baltimore County, York County in PA, and west to the mountains. Meanwhile some trees across metro and Bay areas are showing off as well.

Maryland
I recorded a short drive on I-83 in the Hereford Zone of Baltimore County in Maryland, where some spots are nearing peak and should be there this weekend.

Virginia
The mountains tend to show off the colors first and more profoundly with the dramatic terrain. This was captured by Peter Forister at High Tower, Shenandoah Mountain in Virginia. His collection here is spectacular!
