October 16 Weather: Clouding Up With Rain South And A Snow Map For Western MD
October 16 2022
Sunday Morning Update
If you loved yesterday’s weather, you will like today. That sunny day brought temps to 76ºF in Baltimore, thanks in part to winds gusting over 20 mph. Today will be mild, however not as warm this time thanks to increasing clouds.
Late day showers will arrive in our southern areas, followed by steady rain overnight. This is the cold front that will bring in a true change for the week ahead. Snow will fall in western Maryland and I have a snowfall map for Garrett County to show you below.

The rain band ahead of this front appears to line up across southern Maryland.
The cold air will filter in and bring Lake Effect Snow to the mountains.
This will be persistent for Garrett County, MD. While not showing on this map, some flurries could reach the Piedmont and hills of central Maryland/Southern PA.
