June 9 Clearing And Cooler And Still Watching Saturday For Some Rain
June 9 2022
Thursday Morning Report
Often after an eruption of storms, we get a nice weather pattern to follow. Today we get a cooler breeze with drop in humidity. That’s the good news.
But there is still a lot of attention on the weekend with rain for Saturday. I still see it, but a chance we can get some breaks in the event. I am still working to try and time out the rain and maybe lulls to help with your plans.
Morning Set Up
Surface Weather
We get a drop in humidity this morning, then the cooler air arriving later with the cold front.
There is a small chance for an isolated shower as that front arrives, but most of the region will remain dry… So consider the a surprise if you get it.

Looking Ahead To This Weekend
Forecast Animation: Friday 8 PM to Sunday 11 PM
I need to emphasize that we expect rain on Saturday. It is ‘likely’, but it may not last the entire day. There will be some breaks, and I am working to fine tune that to hopefully help with your plans.
Jet Stream:
Friday 8 PM to Wednesday 8 PM
After our weekend trough and rain maker, a ridge with warming will return next week. It is June after all and the warming is inevitable.

*Disclaimer due to frequent questions:
I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here you may have missed it:
I have dyslexia, and found out at my second year at Cornell. I didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree, and being first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region.
I do miss my mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse.
All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.
There is no editor that can check my work when I need it and have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline.
I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me…
It’s part of my charm.
