June 4 2022

Saturday Morning Report

A cool and pleasant start today as High Pressure settles in.  The high clouds we had yesterday have continued to move away, but still lingering closer to the beaches. That will improve as the day continues.

Morning Set Up

Surface Weather

A pleasant weather pattern in place, may get a boost from another cold front today. This will be hardly noticeable with the exception of a further drop in humidity and boost in wind.

Southern Florida still has a ‘potential’ tropical cyclone not named yet producing flooding rain.

Forecast Map

This is still expected to be upgraded to Tropical Storm Alex today as this circulation moved farther into the open water… of the Atlantic.  The track will take it away from the US and north of Bermuda.

However, rough waves and rip currents are likely into the middle of next week through Ocean City, MD.

*Disclaimer due to frequent questions:

I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here you may have missed it:

I have dyslexia, and found out at my second year at Cornell.  I didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree, and being first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region.

I do miss my mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse.

All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.

There is no editor that can check my work when I need it and have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline.

I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me…

It’s part of my charm.
