October 8 Windy And Cooler Plus First Frost Inland Tonight

Saturday Morning Update 

While you were sleeping, a cold front moved through the region. Now we have winds from the Northwest and temps will be more reasonable and seasonable today. Winds will be gusting more this morning up to 25 mph, then easing a little in the afternoon. 

I am about to join nearly 10,000 people in the Seagull Century 100 mile bike ride between Salisbury and Assateague. That wind is not our friend, but may be a little less forceful than I first thought. More on that below. 

If you live west and north of Baltimore, you may want to allow some time to bring in the potted plants or protect your sensitive gardens.  The first frost of the season is possible by Sunday morning.
