Saturday Morning Report

Our weekend will be mild, ending with light afternoon rain on Sunday into Monday.  Then we focus on the colder storm track and potential snow… a few hits are possible.

I continue to see computer guidance having trouble handling this, so keep an open mind from Wednesday and beyond for the results for our region. I expect another day or two until we can zero in on this. Check it out…

Morning Temperatures

We are still lacking true winter cold. This start will help springboard the afternoon temps.

Morning Surface Weather

We remain on the Mild Side of that cold front. Winds will shift from the Southwest around High Pressure and bring another mild day to the Mid Atlantic.

The cold side of that front is where snow will again track across the Great Lakes into Northern New England. North of Chicago and Milwaukee will be getting 6 to 12 inches of snow.

Wind Forecast:

The air will flow from the Southwest, a warmer direction. That will help push many near or above 50ºF.

Storm Outlook: Sunday Evening To Thursday

This European Model shows a few impulses with colder air. There has been a loss of the energy shown just a day or two ago, but it’s still there. I believe the models are having trouble handling the energy and pattern shift, so we must keep an open mind for more adjustments.

A few mild days with rain on Sunday. The colder air will arrive by the middle of next week. I expect another day or two until we can zero in on this.
