December 28 Seasonal Today Starting Our Warming Trend To New Year Storm
December 28 2022
Wednesday Morning Report
If you ended up here on Thursday, I fixed the link to today’s report. I am sorry for the mix up. Please CLICK HERE for Thu DEC 29 Weather.
Temperatures are still cold, but getting closer to seasonal and then will bump above that mark later this week. We can see a signal of turning the corner with the 24 hour Temperature Change for most in the 10 to 15 degree range. This has brought most area weather stations back to near normal.
By this weekend, our deep freeze will be a memory, but a rain event will bring us a wet New Year’s Eve (at night).
We will take a look at the long range outlook into January and the update on Buffalo Lake Effect Snow below.

We have quieted down across the eastern part of the US (it is getting stormy on the West Coast). Warmer air will be pushing in ahead of that western storm.
Locally, we have a clear sky and cold start to what will be a seasonal day.
Temperatures This Morning
It may not seem like it yet, but temps will be warming.
3 PM Temperatures
Near but still slightly below seasonal temperatures.

Long Range Winter Storm?
I am ONLY showing this to you because there is not a storm here, but off the coast. I want to see if the model error may work the other way. We tend to see a winter storm in the 8 to 12 day period only to either FALL APART or TREND WEST.
When we see what may look like a snow event, that WEST TREND ends up warmer and wet. If we see a storm off the coast trend west, that could end up more interesting. I am just putting this out there for entertainment purposes.
7 Day Forecast
Warming up with the storm next weekend.
