June 5 Sunrise Photos For Our Beautiful Day And Florida Flooding Video: Tropical Storm Alex Formed
June 5 2022
Sunday Morning Report
We continue with our beautiful weather this weekend in the Mid Atlantic region. I have two photos from sunrise that helped to capture some of the essence. I wanted to mention that before the contrast of the major flooding across southern Florida. That was a result of what is now Tropical Storm Alex, but before it was named.
Morning Set Up
Surface Weather
We remain in a very comfortable air mass, however high thin clouds may continue to stream across the sky. We will see an active weather pattern with rain mid week, and then again next weekend (a change for next Saturday).
Tropical Storm Alex was named this morning well east of Florida. See the rain totals below and flooding video below…

Tropical Storm Alex…
Before it was named, it dumped over 10 inches of rain in parts of Florida new Naples and Miami.

Another unreal video coming out of Miami, FL showing just how much rainfall #PTC1 has dumped on south Florida..
Just wait until you see the corvette…

*Disclaimer due to frequent questions:
I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here you may have missed it:
I have dyslexia, and found out at my second year at Cornell. I didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree, and being first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region.
I do miss my mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse.
All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.
There is no editor that can check my work when I need it and have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline.
I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me…
It’s part of my charm.
