September 13 Flooding Video And Storm Totals Plus Weather Forecast

Tuesday Morning Update 

The rain that erupted on Monday proved to be too much for some areas. A few lines of rain developed in trains, meaning they rolled over the same areas for a few hours.  This led to some places seeing between 2 to 4 inches of rainfall. 

The result was flooding, such as seen on the Gwynns Falls in Reisterstown in northwest Baltimore County.

Local Rainfall Totals

Doppler Radar estimated just under 3 inches of water in Reisterstown, with a wider swath of heavy rain bands across Carroll and Baltimore Counties.

Rainfall Totals: Region

A few other heavy rain bands set up in north central Virginia and southern Maryland. St. Mary’s received up to 3 inches of rain near Lexington Park, and a few heavy spots extended across The Lower Eastern Shore.

Morning Surface Weather

The Larger Circulation will be pushing the cold front through this morning. It may still be muggy by you, and a brief shower is still possible early. By midday and this afternoon clearing is on the way from the west.  We will see the sun today, and truly feel the drop in humidity for the rest of this week. 

Morning Temperatures

Look at that spread!  Still 70s between Baltimore and the Beaches, but barely 50ºF at Deep Creek Lake.
