Monday Morning Report

After a very nice weather weather for most, we are about to step backwards for a while. The overall weather pattern continues to show signs of late winter, which in turn delays our spring.  The result will be much cooler days and frost in the mornings later this week.  Yes, there could be more than one day to deal with.

Sunday’s High Temperatures

In case you missed my prior report, let’s review the high temperatures yesterday.  The range from 50s on the New Jersey Shore, and low 60s on the Delmarva beaches, to 70s in central Maryland metro areas and 80s inland.  The HOT 90s showed up around Richmond in VA.

Monday Morning Set Up

Surface Weather

The same stationary front is draped across our region, but will be pushed farther inland. This is due to stronger easterly winds from the ocean dominate today.

The next big change will be a cold front arriving from the west Tuesday night.

*Disclaimer due to frequent questions:

I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here you may have missed it:

I have dyslexia, and found out at my second year at Cornell.  I didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree, and being first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region.

I do miss my mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse.

All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.

There is no editor that can check my work when I need it and have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline.

I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me…

It’s part of my charm.
