Tuesday Night Update
This is a quick post simply to encourage you too make the most of the warm up mid week. For those on Spring Break (and still in town) you win! Everyone else with find a way to get outside or work on your list of ‘excuses’.
Here’s what I mean…
Tuesday Evening Weather
There is a major league snow storm raging across the Northern Plains States. A few FEET of snow will be falling across the North Dakota!
Meanwhile not far away, severe storms have erupted in Nebraska, Iowa, and southern Minnesota. A second cluster of storms is tracking across the Gulf Coast region.
We just get the surge of warm air in between…
Wednesday Afternoon Temperatures
Most of our region will continue to get warmer, with many near or above the 80ºF mark.
Showers?
There will be a about a 30% chance for afternoon and evening rain showers, primarily west and north of the cities. If you get in the path, it should not last long.
Jet Stream Comparison
Wednesday: Warm Ridge
Thursday will bring us Thunderstorms, then the pull back to colder air this weekend.
Eastern Sunday: Chilly Trough
Jet Stream Animation: 2 Weeks!
Wednesday April 13 to Wednesday April 27
There will be a few ups, and downs. The main premise here is that the second half of April is not clear cut. We will have some more warm days, but a few more deep troughs will continue to bring cool downs and maybe some more frosty mornings.
Temperatures Outlook:
Here is what that could mean..
My full report will be ready Wednesday morning.

*Disclaimer due to frequent questions:
I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here you may have missed it:
I have dyslexia, and found out at my second year at Cornell. I didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree, and being first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region.
I do miss my mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse.
All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.
There is no editor that can check my work when I need it and have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline.
I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me…
It’s part of my charm.
