April 11 Weather Early Frost Orioles Opening Day And Big Warm Up
Monday Report
This is Spring Break Week for many schools in Maryland. It starts with a Frost Advisory AND The Orioles Opening Day. It’s also the first game of the season for my son’s baseball team, and perhaps many other sports as well. We will quickly jump to very warm in a few days.
If you are going to the game, there will be sun, and a breeze, so I still suggest a layer or two under your hoodie or a light jacket.
Frost Advisory
The expanded area under this advisory was verified with the temps dropping into the 30s. Some areas inland are below freezing, which may have harmed early vegetative growth.
Morning Temperatures
Some freezing temps north of Baltimore and in the mountains.
Widespread 30s have reaches Southern Maryland and Delmarva.

*Disclaimer due to frequent questions:
I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here you may have missed it:
I have dyslexia, and found out at my second year at Cornell. I didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree, and being first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region.
I do miss my mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse.
All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.
There is no editor that can check my work when I need it and have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline.
I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me…
It’s part of my charm.
