Frost Advisory Sunday Night THEN We Turn The Corner To A Spring Warm Up
Saturday Evening Update
We’ve had two days with intense showers that produce a mix of rain, sleet, small hail, and graupel. As if that wasn’t enough, the core of the cold air will settle in to start the work week. A combination of clearing sky and light wind will help bring most of the region into the 30s.
It is NOT time to plant yet. I would still stick with ‘Mother’s Day Weekend’ as a rule of thumb.
Here’s a quick look:
Sunday Afternoon Temperatures
It will be another cool day!
Wind Forecast: 4 PM Sunday to 8 AM Monday
After ‘another’ breezy afternoon, the winds will settle to calm overnight.
Monday Morning Temperatures
With a clear sky, the light winds will allow inland areas to drop into the 30s…
Frost Advisory: Inland areas north and west of Baltimore.
Monday Afternoon Temperatures: Bouncing Back…
Jet Stream Animation:
Sunday Through Wednesday
Follow the trough departing and the quick building ridge. This will allow April sun to do its thing for us…
Temperatures Forecast:
National Blend of Models
Yes, it is possible we could reach the 80s Wednesday and Thursday. We often tend to end up warmer than model guidance. I will address this in my full report on Sunday morning.

*Disclaimer due to frequent questions:
I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here you may have missed it:
I have dyslexia, and found out at my second year at Cornell. I didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree, and being first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region.
I do miss my mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse.
All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.
There is no editor that can check my work when I need it and have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline.
I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me…
It’s part of my charm.
