Weather Monday August 6 and Maryland Trek 6 Day 3

Uncategorized

Monday August 5 2019

This will be a brief weather outlook to include the normal region plus a highlight on Western Maryland. My team is starting Maryland Trek 6 Day 2 in Hancock this morning and aiming for Frederick’s Baker Park by 7 PM. We will be hiking and biking across the state all week until we reach Ocean City next weekend. This is a celebration of my recovery from childhood illness while we raise awareness of kids in cancer treatment today.

We will be start our day biking 10 miles on the Western Maryland Rail Trail to Big Pool. Then hiking 27 miles to Boonsboro and then biking 14 between to Frederick. It will be warm and humid with a slight chance of storms after 4 PM. There is a 30% chance of showers and storms after 4 PM today through this evening. See the radar simulation below.

More likely big storms Wednesday evening.
