The National Weather Service in State College has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
Adams County in south central Pennsylvania...

* Until 515 AM EDT.

* At 414 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly
in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Gettysburg, Hampton, Littlestown, Carroll Valley, Lake Meade,
Bonneauville, Lake Heritage, Cashtown, Aspers, Orrtanna,
Biglerville, Arendtsville, York Springs, Heidlersburg,
Bendersville, Hunterstown, Fairfield, McKnightstown, Idaville and
Gardners.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
