The National Weather Service in State College has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Franklin County in south central Pennsylvania...

* Until 315 AM EDT.

* At 215 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chambersburg, Waynesboro, Shippensburg, Greencastle, Guilford, St.
Thomas, Fayetteville, Wayne Heights, Mont Alto, Scotland,
Rouzerville, Marion, Upper Strasburg, Roxbury, Fannettsburg,
Willow Hill, Doylesburg, State Line, Orrstown and Williamson.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
