...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EDT THURSDAY...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following areas,
Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon,
Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Union
and York.

* Until 1 AM EDT Thursday.

* Heavy rainfall will be tapering off early this evening. Some heavy
rainfall is still possible before midnight, which could still
produce new areas of flash flooding. Many area streams and rivers
are already running high or have gone out of their banks. While
some additional rises are possible overnight, most of the smaller
streams and creeks will be falling through the night. Only the
large creeks and rivers will remain in flood status by morning.

* Flash flooding can inundate roadways and flood homes in less than
a few hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
