The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flood Watch for
the Potomac River at Edwards Ferry.
* From Thursday evening until further notice.
* At 8:45 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 3.7 feet, or 11.3 feet below
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Flooding is possible.
* Forecast...Flood stage may be reached late Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, The basements of the Edwards Ferry
Lockhouse and Rileys Lockhouse are flooded. Backwater flooding may
affect homes on the Loudoun County side of the river near Broad
Run in Sterling.
