Potomac River at Paw Paw affecting Morgan, Central and Eastern Allegany and Hampshire Counties. Potomac River at Dam Number Five affecting Washington and Berkeley Counties. Wills Creek near Cumberland affecting Central and Eastern Allegany zone. Conococheague Creek at Fairview affecting Washington County. Opequon Creek near Martinsburg affecting Jefferson and Berkeley Counties. Monocacy River near Frederick affecting Frederick MD zone. Cacapon River near Great Cacapon affecting Morgan County. The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flood Watch for
the Monocacy River near Frederick.
* From Thursday afternoon until further notice.
* At 11:30 PM EDT Monday the stage was 2.0 feet, or 13.0 feet below
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Flooding is possible.
* Forecast...Flood stage may be reached early Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, Both banks of the river are flooded. Water
begins to flood low-lying fields at Monocacy National Battlefield.
Water reaches the access road of the Frederick city wastewater
treatment plant. Backwater flooding is occurring on several area
creeks, particularly Carroll Creek in Frederick.
