* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Dauphin County in south central Pennsylvania...
Western Lancaster County in south central Pennsylvania...
York County in south central Pennsylvania...
* Until 1045 PM EDT.
* At 740 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Lancaster, York, Weigelstown, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Middletown,
Millersville, Mount Joy, Parkville, Red Lion, Steelton, Spry,
Manheim, East Petersburg, Dallastown, Shiloh, East York,
Stonybrook-Wilshire, West York and Salunga-Landisville.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
