September 27 Warmer Today Storms Tomorrow Then Cooler

Forecast

Monday September 27

As we get deeper into Autumn and the nights grow longer than the days, it is inevitable that we cool down.  The warmer days are still with us, like today. But they become the exception rather than the rule.

Today will be warm in the afternoon. Tomorrow a cold front brings in a few thunderstorms, then a longer stretch of cooler weather will finish out the week.

Tropical Snapshot

Hurricane Sam has winds of 130 mph this morning. It is still a Major Hurricane, but confidence that it will not hit the US coast.  There is still concern for Bermuda.

Morning Surface Weather

A shift in winds will allow our temps to get close to 80ºF. Warmer by the cities, and still in the 70s inland.

The next cold front is barely on the screen, but will be racing in and passing through our region tomorrow.
