Henri was just downgraded to a Tropical Depression. This just happened with the 8 PM update from the National Hurricane Center, and the maps have not caught up to it yet.
There is still a lot of energy in the atmosphere and a force bringing the rain southwest into Maryland tonight.
Beaches On The Edge
We have been on the edge of this storm all day, with some bands of steady rain and heavy downpours, but others on the edge have seen impressive cloud lines with breaks of sun.
I posted this contrast of pics from Bethany to Ocean City early this afternoon.

Doppler Radar Snapshot
The rain is still being pushed to the Southwest through southern Pennsylvania, and it will wrap through north central Maryland tonight.
NAM Model Simulation
This last wave of rain will swing through north central Maryland and then off the coast bay daybreak. That will set us back up for a return of heat.
How many more days in the 90s could we possibly get? I will have a full update in the morning.

Sunshine State Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
