July 27 Code Orange Air Quality With High Heat Today
Tuesday July 27 2021
Today will be the hottest day of the week with no sign of relief. If there are any late day storms, they will be isolated. With light winds, pollution levels will be climbing as well, so not the best day to be outside working or exercising for the bulk of the day.
Storms will pass through over the next two days, then substantial change in air masses will make for a very pleasant weekend.
Morning Surface Weather
We are in between the old front and the next front, and this little bubble of High Pressure has high temperatures and humidity. Winds will be light, and the pollution levels are climbing.
Air Quality Forecast:
Code Orange for central Maryland west of the Chesapeake Bay through metro Washington DC.
If you exercise outdoors, try to get it in before 10 AM or after 6 PM. That is when pollution levels should be more tolerable.

Sunshine State Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
