A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for much of our area until 9 PM. The National Weather Service has issued this for counties WEST of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and Virginia, but severe storm warnings are in place on Maryland’s Eastern Shore at the time of this post (3:30 PM). So please consider Delmarva under the risk as well.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 PM

Risk for winds over 60 mph, large hail over 1 inch in diameter, local flooding, dangerous cloud to ground lighting, and isolated tornados.

• Mountain storms are moving to the east.
