Forecast

Monday November 24 2025

This short work week will start off chilly and with the clear sky temps will warm back to seasonal levels this afternoon.

The developing storm will bring us rain on Tuesday that may turn heavier at night.

OnWednesday the showers will be scattered as temps surge into the upper 60s.

Thanksgiving will be COLDER and dry! In fact the holiday will have falling temps during the afternoon. The Ravens Home Game on Thursday night will be CHILLY!  Temps will be in the 30s with wind chills in the 20s.

Friday with the core of the arctic air that may keep many in the region in the 30s.

I am not seeing support that maybe some flurries could fly on Friday with the cold core.

This will not last long as a warm up will bounce back 60s for early December. There is more arctic air that is likely for much of December.

Surface Weather

This is our break! High Pressure with a clear sky will turn this morning chill to a mild afternoon.

The next storm is taking form and with thunderstorms on the south end, this is a signal of the energy available.

It is heading east and will bring us rain Tuesday.

Storm Forecast This Week

The focus will be the rain Tuesday, then Wednesday showers with a big warm up. Colder air spills in Thanksgiving Thursday into Friday.

RESTATING MY MESSAGE ABOUT DYSLEXIA

I am aware there are some spelling and grammar typos and occasional other glitches. I take responsibility for my mistakes and even the computer glitches I may miss. I have made a few public statements over the years, but if you are new here, you may have missed it: I have dyslexia and found out during my second year at Cornell University. It didn’t stop me from getting my meteorology degree and being the first to get the AMS CBM in the Baltimore/Washington region. One of my professors told me that I had made it that far without knowing and to not let it be a crutch going forward. That was Mark Wysocki, and he was absolutely correct! I do miss my mistakes in my own proofreading. The autocorrect spell check on my computer sometimes does an injustice to make it worse. I can also make mistakes in forecasting. No one is perfect at predicting the future. All of the maps and information are accurate. The ‘wordy’ stuff can get sticky.  There has been no editor who can check my work while writing and to have it ready to send out in a newsworthy timeline. Barbara Werner is a member of the web team that helps me maintain this site. She has taken it upon herself to edit typos when she is available. That could be AFTER you read this. I accept this and perhaps proves what you read is really from me… It’s part of my charm. #FITF
