Foggy Morning Then Nice Into Start Of Weekend. Tropical Storm May Develop In Gulf

Wednesday May 23 2018

The Ain issue this morning is low visibility, and that is not for all of us. This morning map shows the worst fog northeast of Baltimore towards Cecil County and Philadelphia. But there are pockets of under 1 mile view into Southern PA and along I-95 in Harford County. This will gradually burn off this morning and despite an isolated shower… set us up for a nice few days of weather. The good news is that the start of the weekend will be wonderful. But weather will deteriorate into Memorial Day as a potential Tropical Storm develops in the Gulf of Mexico and tries to follow the pattern that brought us rain last week.

Skipping Ahead….

This is one of the possible developments this weekend. Officially The National Hurricane Center has a 50% chance for a named tropical system by Saturday. If so, this may be called Alberto.  I will shows this product animation below, but there is a lot of uncertainty based on the formation and location. However, subscribing to my atmospheric memory theory, we must consider the high chance this drifts to the north and sends rain our way into Memorial Day and next week.
