More Rain With Flood Watch And Warning Continuing

More Rain With Flood Watch And Warning Continuing

May 17 2018

Nearly 10 inches of rain has falling around Frederick in the past two days and a Flood Warning continues in that area. That has been one focus of routine heavy cells, but there are more on the way.  All it takes is to get under training bands or a stalled cell and the water will flow, and forecast projection is for up to 5 more inches of rain through the next 5 days.  With all of this rain we have multiple problems: Flooding, downed trees, and fog are some of them. Here is a look at today’s weather and rain timeline.  It looks like the timing for the rain to ease will be close to Preakness, but there could be another Mudder.

Note: Last year on this date we set the record high temperature in Baltimore with 93ºF.
