Wet Turkey Trots With Light Thanksgiving Rain

Wet Turkey Trots With Light Thanksgiving Rain

screen-shot2016-11-24-06_28_59Thursday November 24 – The weather system moving through now actually brought  a little sleet last night. But that was the leading edge of warmer air. You may not note it this morning with temperatures in the 30s and lower 40s, but we will warm up.  If you are heading out early to one of the numerous regional Thanksgiving 5K Turkey Trots or the annual Turkey Bowl football game, bundle up and plan on getting a little wet.

Warmer air will build, but we will have to deal with some light rain. We need all we can get a this point, and it will not be much. If you are traveling,  A Sleet and Freezing Rain advisory is in place for northern Pennsylvania to the New York border. As far as we are concerned, the rain will stay with us through mid day, then shift to the east. Below is a look at the radar simulation. The sky may remain mostly cloudy for the shoppers on Friday, then strong winds will dominate the weekend.
