Tuesday September 27 – The latest cold front will slowly slip south today and will take the rain with it, but linger in southern Maryland. The next development will be an upper level Low in the MidWest that will pump more moisture back our way and it looks heavier than first thought. Considering the dry conditions at the end of summer, getting three to five inches of rainfall over a few days may be too much for the ground and tributaries to handle. So we could make an abrupt turn from near drought to flooding. The heaviest will be Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.
