Monday May 2 – We have been stuck at 55°F or below for five days. That is about to change, but the warm front that will do that is responsible for the fog this morning. A Dense Fog Advisory has been posted for much of central Maryland and Virginia. While not shaded on the map, southern PA has poor visibility slow travel as well. A few showers passing north of Baltimore will mark that arrival, and the sky may break for some sun. Temperatures should shoot into the 70s, but the atmosphere is primed for some storms to develop this afternoon and could last through tonight. Here isa quick timeline for later today.
