February 4- The front that was stalled is hanging back even longer. Below is an update radar simulation through 7 AM Friday. The only adjustment to my prior forecast is that the developing snow will linger a little longer on the western side of the Bay.
UPDATE: Even farther west with snow- See the simulation showing snow developing near Frederick overnight and leading to a rough Baltimore commute. This will be an overnight development, which will help snow lovers, but there is a caveat. The temperatures will be marginal. In fact, they might remain above freezing from I-95 to the Delmarva. So moderate to heavy snow will be needed to compensate for the warmer ground. I must repeat myself from earlier: We just melted over 2 feet of snow in a week. So the full potential of snow here will not be felt, but there will be some sloppy slushy stickage on the roads by daybreak. Yes, there is a chance for school delays with a sloppy inch or so of ‘refresher’ snow.
