So we had our taste of winter this weekend, but now we head back to the pattern that may very well make this the warmest December on record. The storm track has been locked well to our west, keeping us on the rainy side of storms. There is cold air to be had, and the contrast may make for some severe weather in the south this week while sending a few waves of rain our way. There will be a chance of some thunderstorms locally, but the warm up is the main story. Looks like the 23rd and 24th will be the peak, with a slight cool down Christmas Day. Both of those days could challenge and maybe break the record warm up set in 1990.
