Coolest Day In Over 3 Months Plus Rain Outlook

MonSFCA chilly northeast wind will average 10 to 20 mph. That along would suggest temperatures stay below average. Throw in a stalled front and large storm nearby throwing in some rain, and temperatures will have a tough time breaking out of the 60s. If we fail to reach 70F, it will be the first time since June 4th to 108 days ago.  Compare that to 85F on Saturday and the drop to only 79F on Sunday (at BWI) and you definitely should consider wearing  long sleeves and a jacket today.

As for the rain… There are some showers this morning, but that will continue to develop and increase this afternoon. There will be some heavier showers, but generally less than 1/2 inch for most.

Outlook

While we get a few dry days to warm a little mid week, the next chance for rain will depend on a developing Low off of the east coast. As of this time, most should stay just south. The suggestion from the GFS brings in rain Friday, but you can see we are on the edge. I would not put too much weight into this precision now. Just keep the idea of rain nearby for Friday into the start of the weekend.
