Late summer into early fall is a magical time if you are a photographer or just a sunflower lover. I must be honest, After watching occasional reports of local farms when I was at my last TV station, it didn’t really occur to me to actually go visit Harford County, where there are a few locations that will impress anyone. Last year I posted a series of reports (I’ve linked below) about the sunflowers and was amazed at the diversity of each image. Broom’s Bloom Dairy in Harford County is one of two well know places to get lost in an endless field of these mammoths. Jeff Perkins shares a glimpse here. Note that once they bloom, the peak viewing lasts on average 2 weeks. So now is the time to get out and see them here or Hess, MD. Both locations are shown below. I know there are other spots locally. Please share your favorite with me so I can pass it along. I just hope that if you go, you will share your views as well.
